“Marc Van Wilder” – SweatSox vs Brewers III Recap

Welcome to Day 2 of the SweatSox 14 Days of SweatMas SweatSite Extravaganza – I knew you’d be back after yesterday’s epic Great Upheaval Day post.  Sadly though, much like Marc Lett in a college laboratory early in the morning, this write-up isn’t going to last as long as you’d like.

On Thursday, July 28th, the SweatSox faced the Nepean Brewers for the third and final time this year.  We lost 9-1, but at least we got a run!

Final SweatSox vs Nepean Brewers III Notes/Thoughts:

  • Cory Bond was activated off the DL, ending his reverse ironman streak at 7 games.
  • Joey “.333” Majic showed up “on-time” and went 1/3.
  • At one point in the 6th inning, we made the Brewers actually think about what they should do next.
  • Craig Cornell is the 2nd player in NCBL history to pitch for the same team in all 4 Tiers.
  • Craig Cornell is the all-time Tier 1 leader in career ERA and WHIP (0.00 and 0.00).
  • Ross Hughes made his return to the Hyjinx, looking to challenge Eric White for the rights to one of his codenames.
