With two games to go before the end of the regular season and injuries starting to pile up, the SweatSox have signed Jack “Mehoff” McLaughlin to a 14-day contract.
We were introduced to McLaughlin last week at Southgate, when he approached our bench after the Winchester game looking for information on how to play. Naturally, SweatSox Authority Cory Bond offered him a spot without seeing him do anything baseball related.
He did go to school with the SweatSox 2018 Rookie of the Year Justin Pidhirny, so there’s that!
“MeHoff” has filled out the registration, signed the waivers, and is expected to make his debut later tonight when the SweatSox and Coyotes face off at Kinsmen. All he needs to do now is physically show up.
