GLOUCESTER– Tonight’s scheduled game between the SweatSox and Coyotes was officially rained out at 2:27PM this afternoon. Based on the field conditions after yesterday’s downpour, and a forecast that called for “the biggest storm we’d see all year” right around at game time, the decision was made to call it early and move on with the rest of our days.
We still do not know if the umpires were officially made aware of this cancellation, although a Tweet by us is way more formal than any text message or phone call.
After the game was called, Craig Cornell passed along a message from some new guy on the Rockets named Jeff who lost a pair of Ray Bans on Opening Day. We do not have them, although the SweatSox did place a Ray Ban team order before the season, so any similarities between the lost pair and any of our new pairs are purely coincidental. What we do have though is a bunch of targeted Ray Ban advertisements on all our devices now, so thanks Jeffrey.
Final SweatSox vs Coyotes Rainout Notes/Thoughts:
- Craig thinks Eric needs to get a hobby
- Larry is always looking out for Eric’s safety
- Jaspreet does not always have Eric’s best interests at heart
- Jason is a big Tom Brady fan
- Pants off, umbrellas out
- When Marc is out, Ross gets angry
- The only way to know what the weather was, is, and always will be, in a bombardment of constant updates from around the province
- Craig offered Eric up as Jaspreet’s ride to the game
- Eric’s scouting reports are smiling poops
- The worst kind of loss is a 9-emoji loss
- Cory’s toilet does not overlook his driveway
- Any of Larry’s bodily fluids can get you pregnant
- Where’s Clark at?
- The rain must’ve taken out Clark
- R.I.P. Clark
- When asked what he was planning on doing tonight now that there was no game, Dave Rotari hoped:
Next up for the SweatSox is a matchup with the Capitals tomorrow night at the Sportsplex. Josh Ramage still has the ball, with an extra day of rest.
