{"id":3795,"date":"2023-08-19T19:02:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-19T23:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sweatsoxbaseball.com\/blog\/?p=3795"},"modified":"2024-05-05T19:23:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-05T23:23:48","slug":"jean-lazure-returns-sweatsox-vs-lumberjacks-iv-recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sweatsoxbaseball.com\/blog\/2023\/08\/19\/jean-lazure-returns-sweatsox-vs-lumberjacks-iv-recap\/","title":{"rendered":"Jean Lazure RETURNS | SweatSox vs Lumberjacks IV RECAP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m back, and I&#8217;m better than ever.\u00a0 Got a knack for making things better.\u00a0 Face facts, cause your opinion don&#8217;t matter.\u00a0 This maniac is gonna step on whomever.\u00a0 It&#8217;s time, get in line, cause I&#8217;m gonna make some changes, kicking ass, taking names, cleaning house, oh baby.\u00a0 I&#8217;m bringing out the deadwood.\u00a0 Burning down time.\u00a0 Cause there&#8217;s only my way, so get your ass in line.\u00a0 <strong>ACKNOWLEDGE ME!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now, in my own words, a breakdown of last night\u2019s SweatSox vs Lumberjacks match-up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FRIGGIN TRILLIUM AGAIN?!?<\/strong>&#8211; For the fourth and final time this regular season, the SweatSox faced off against the pennant clinched, championship favourite Ottawa Lumberjacks last night at Trillium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SweatSox have been unable to compete with the Lumberjacks so far this year, losing all 3 previous matchups, while getting outscored 21-10 in the process.\u00a0 We couldn\u2019t beat them with Eric White, Josh Ramage, or Dave Rotari on the bump, so we decided to give them a much different look: Saint Lawrence of Pawelek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like we\u2019ve done so many times this year, we jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first after an Eric White single and stolen base led to a RBI single for Josh Ramage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, Pawelek was unable to hold onto that 1-run lead, and we proceeded to give up 16 runs in a mercy shortened 4.5 inning game.\u00a0 Larry did somehow record a strikeout in this one, shame on you Matthew Nanni, who\u2019s 2nd inning backwards K will be talked about for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Big thanks to LP for taking one for the team and going the distance.\u00a0 Our \u201cregular\u201d starters really needed a day off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lumberjacks 16. SweatSox 1.
