Denver Hunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great sadness that I report on the morning of Saturday, February 21st, peacefully in his home, Denver Hunt announced he will be <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span>elocating <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>I<\/strong><\/span>n <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>P<\/strong><\/span>rovince, forcing him to miss the entire 2015 NCBL season. \u00a0The Shostappa will be taking a year long sabbatical in Kingston, where he&#8217;ll be recovering from a multitude of\u00a0long-overdue baseball-related surgeries, while planning out the next 10 years of SweatLympic events and fundraising opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Hunt is a lifetime .295 batter\u00a0for the SweatSox, with 87 hits and 78 stolen bases to his credit. \u00a0He&#8217;s a 2x ACF Defensive Player of the Year, 2x holder of the Murdock, won\u00a0the\u00a0Doug Dorion Memorial Trophy, and was a finalist for the Blair Mackenzie Trophy in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>For everything he&#8217;s done both on an off the field, Denver may best be remembered for his 2013 championship contributions. \u00a0In what we thought was a meaningless final regular season game in Cornwall, Denver pitched 6 innings of three-hit ball, and that unlikely win ultimately reseeded the tier so we wouldn&#8217;t face the River Rats until the finals. \u00a0In those finals, when we were down two games to none and in need of a jumpstart, Denver broke his leg, which in some twisted way motivated us to win it in five.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, who could forget Denver&#8217;s late night initiative to overhaul\u00a0OC Transpo currency, trying to replace bus tickets and Presto Cards\u00a0with Cajun chicken wings. \u00a0I do not believe he was successful.<\/p>\n<p>He will be
