It’s not often I drink so much that I can’t remember what went down the night before, but as I look out my window to where my car should be parked, I realize last night was one of those nights.
Due to the holes in my memory (because I was drunk, not because last night was almost 3 months ago), for this recap I will be relying solely on the statsheet and the pictures/video’s that were taken by, and/or submitted to, me.
So it looks like before the “SuperHyjinx”, we played a game vs the Gryphons at Faulkner. John Groves pitched into the 6th, giving up just 3 hits & 3 walks before turning the ball over to Eric White, who got the five-out save after giving up just 2 walks. Groves and White combined for the three-hit shutout, and thanks to a 1st inning RBI double from Cory Bond, the SweatSox won 2-0.
The winners of the 2004 A&W Kamloops International Baseball Game MVP award are: OMG (W, 2/3) and GLE (1/2, 2B, GWRBI). Also with the win, the SweatSox have clinched 4th place in the Tier II standings, and will undoubtedly play Cornwall in the 1st round of the playoffs. We also play Cornwall tomorrow in Cornwall, so we probably won’t show them all our stuff.
So it was probably a clear sign that the Hyjinx was headed somewhere special, when EVERYONE wanted to be a part of it…
Once the sun had set, it was time to cook the hotdogs, which meant Denver Hunt had to find someone to share one with. His target today: Josh Ramage.
With it being a rare triple beer day, we had to figure out to consume a large supply of beer in a short amount of time.
The obvious answer: an impromptu ShotgunOff! After an exhibition match between Mark Stinson and Chris Lidstone, it was time for the main event:
Throughout the season, we’ve been posting (regretfully) pictures of SweatSox who couldn’t “hold it in”. We promise after the following picture, there will be no more:
After a ShotgunOff and PissOff, it was time for a DanceOff. The theme was “ass tap”, although one couple got confused and “tapped dat ass” instead:
When the 90 or so beers were consumed, it was time to head somewhere to ingest even more beers! Many were unable to drive, which meant Eric finally got his chance to drive something with 4 wheels:
We ended up at Jonny Canucks, where Ross and Bridget were having their own Hyjinx. It was there we were introduced to Megan17:
It was also at about this time that Chris Lidstone ordered a beer, which turned out to be Beer #100!
After the SuperHyjinx was confirmed, it was time to go outside and fight the locals. That plan didn’t work out though since there were too many of us, and we were way too big for them.
After that little dance, it was time to kiss & hug can call it a night.
