For the second time this season, and the second time ever, the SweatSox (4-0) faced off against the Orioles (0-4) last night at Southgate. Unlike the first matchup where the SweatSox scored early and never looked back, this time it was the Orioles that jumped out to the early lead, scoring 6 runs over the first 3 innings en route to a 6-2 victory.
Big win for the O's tonight! Legault-Leclair with a CG & Inglis with a solo shot to CF gave the O's their 1st win, 6-2 vs Sweat Sox.

The winner of the 2004 A&W Kamloops International Baseball Game MVP Award is: John Groves. OMG had two hits including a double, and was the most efficient SweatSox pitcher on a day we also threw Eric White and Mark Dorrington. Honourable mention to Kent Johnston, who in his season debut had a hit, an RBI, a run scored, and two stolen bases.
The Après Baseball Hyjinx was hosted by the two time reigning, defending, undisputed SweatSox SuperFan Mindy “Roofy” Ruffo (aka the future Mrs. Lidstone, and undoubtedly the future mother of a couple little Liddy’s). What made this Hyjinx even more special wasn’t that she was the first Mrs. to officially host a Hyjinx, but she did it when Christopher wasn’t even at the game. She must’ve heard that Mrs. Eric led the charge in bringing pizza to the Hyjinx last week, and decided to take things to a new level. Well done. Your move Mrs. Eric 2015.
SweatSox Word of the Day: Choda
Broment of the Day: Armando Navarro and MinderStone taking in the Expos-Marc Sports game, while discussing the finer things in life.
OMG’s Wacky Political Tip of the Day: Don’t ever retweet baseball tweets to your political followers.

Final SweatSox vs Orioles Notes/Thoughts:
- My navigator Mark Stinson still hasn’t figured out the ideal route to get to Southgate on time.
- Mark Bond remembered to bring his jersey.
- “You’re DH’ing for the third baseman?” –Gilles Marchand, Orioles Manager
- Josh Ramage doesn’t like balls being bounced off the fence in the dugout.
- With a 7th inning hit, Kent Johnston surpasses Cory Bond for 3rd on the all-time H list.
- Marc Lett’s entire family came to see him hit, so naturally The Authority benched him.
- John Groves’ hole is the biggest.
- Mark Dorrington was always picked 1st in basketball growing up.
- Neal Phadnis made his 2nd straight appearance at the Hyjinx.
- Jean Lazure made up for the Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Stadium SweatSox snub.
- Fred Malo was M.I.A. at the SweatSox table.
- “I’ll get what he got” sounds a lot like “I’ll have some hots”. #WingGate
- SweatSox records for most wings eating in a single sitting, and longest time to eat a single wing, were both set by our GLE.
- Denver Hunt is playing baseball again down in Kingston, and he’s already been ejected from a game.
