There comes a time in every person’s life when they must decide whether to put forth the extra effort, or just say fuck it and throw in the towel. The SweatSox are face to face with this incredibly difficult decision right now. Am I referring to Marc Lett choosing to spend his time on the DL at home with his family instead of at the ballpark? No. Am I referring to last night’s dreadful SweatSox defense that only got worse as the game progressed? No. Am I talking about the SweatSox utter refusal to support Mindy Ruffo’s (aka Mrs. Chris) soccer endeavors? Haha, definitely no!
I am of course talking about me (Shaun Keay) and this website. You will have noticed that there hasn’t been an update in over a week, during which time we’ve had 2 games, 2 Hyjinx, 2 rainouts, an updated schedule, a very public civil war amongst the umpires as a result of #CellGate, and another episode of “Let’s Reply All” entitled #GoTit.
I could easily write 14 hundred words on each of these subjects, but as you may have guessed, I’m mailing it in. See you all on July 9th, when we’re back in action against the Braves.

- With our 3-1 win vs the Cardinals; Cory Bond became the SweatSox all-time leader in wins as a manager. Neither Craig Cornell nor Doug Dorion, who are now tied for 2nd, was there to witness it. Well, Dorion may have been from the heavens above. #RIP
